Hey Eddy, What I would do is make it policy to have the dogs on a leash at all times on property grounds, because what you don't want is someone walking their dog without a leash and someone gets jumped on by the dog. Some people don't want dogs jumping on them and will end up bringing you to court. So I would make it property policy "No walking dogs unleashed"

the education is great but on the surface they are a network marketing company first. I know because I joined them but quickly realized it was a network marketing company first. But I will say the education is up to par.  But you can get that same education online from sites like BP....

Hey Tolby, No he is not bs'ing you (sort of). He is correct he can help you make 10k a month but it's not through RE investing. It will be from marketing Renatus educational program and selling it to people just like yourself. I know because I did it and quickly realized that it's not what I wanted to do.

Leon,

How are you.  Yeah the problem with NYC is that the Real Estate industry here is a cutthroat industry.  You have thousands upon thousands of agents trying to get a sale in a town where there are only about 10,000 deals a year (not including Rentals).  So you have to do your homework and do a lot of research before you see an agent because a lot of them are not doing well when it comes to sales.  What works for the rest of the country does not always work in NY.  So just stay with it and research, research, research. Arm yourself!!  Also try signing up for the online magazine called " The Real Deal".. Lots of good research about the 5 boros.  I love that E-zine..

Hey good stuff.  I am in the NYC area and I am not a numbers guy but what I am seeing is a lot of properties on the market for a Really long time.  They lower the price, take it off the market, put it back on, take it off again, put it back on etc. etc.  I am actually looking at a property in the Bronx right now.  I have yet to pull the trigger because the price keeps dropping. So I am sitting on the edge of my seat because whenever I get ready to make an offer the RE agent ends up dropping the price.  So I agree something is up.

Hey Ismael, How are you. I too am from New York City, just getting started as well. I to wanted to start out wholesaling, but from what I've absorbed from here in the forums it seems very difficult to do part time. I have sort of switched my game plan and I am interested in buy and hold property as well as flipping. I will say don't spend your money, learn what u have to here at BP. Great info and great people who will give you plenty of insight. Good luck

Hey John,

SO you have to ask yourself the question.  Do I want to get involved with Network Marketing?  I was a IMA with them and I quit because I got away from why I joined Renatus which was to learn investing not to be in Network Marketing.  They will tell you that you can do both, and for some people maybe they can but it's hard when your going to meetings and half the meeting is about bringing more and more people.

Hi Bob,

Would you say there are better opportunities in Poughkeepsie than in Newburgh with respect to dealing with the local Town Ordinances? It's crazy because Newburgh's Waterfront has a lot of potential but the city wont let you build there because they want to preserve the view of the Hudson.  Kind of frustrating.

Hey Everyone,

I know a little about this.  Because I originally signed on to market the educational program. So basically the 5k-10k they are referring to has nothing I repeat has NOTHING to do with being a real estate investor. It is Renatus' marketing program where you market the education and they pay you 50% of the cost of the education as commission. Now I am not here to knock Renatus because I do feel the educational component is great, but I actually stopped marketing the educational program because I am not interested in network marketing. The ads that they are putting out is extremely misleading and that's the part I can't get with. Good luck.

hey John,

I agree if it works for you, then by all means do it.  I think Renatus is a good option and most likely FB (fortune builders) is too but if you are willing to do some research then BP is the way to go. I must admit I do like the way Renatus is laid out for you. So I agree it's up to the individual to make it happen. But let's be honest.  I'd say 60% ( rather conservative figure)of the people on here are not gonna do anything with all this education.  Not because they are lazy, they realize that RE investing is not for them. So I think the general feeling is why spend all that money if you can get it for Free to figure out if investing is for you or not.
