Welcome to Bigger Pockets @Syed Hussain You are definitely in the right place to learn and grow. In addition to the suggestions above, I suggest setting up "key word alerts" for the topics of interest to you. Examples include "Maryland" "Buy and hold", etc. Using localities is a great way to network with other investors making it happen in the DMV. Cheers to our success!

Welcome to Bigger Pockets @D'Carlo Willis you are in the right place to learn and others have already pointed you to useful resources. I also suggest creating key word alerts in your areas of interest, such as "Wholesaling" or "Maryland". Best of luck to you!

Welcome to Bigger Pockets @Shay Bromer Please take advantage of setting up "keyword alerts" for any topics or areas you're interested like "multi family" or "Philadelphia" That's a great way to network with others in your local community too.

Hi @James A. Flowers Welcome to BP and thanks for the post. I think the answer depends on you and your appetite for risk. To me flipping is risker because of the short time line involved and heafty holding costs. Also you need to make sure you get the numbers right like ARV and Reno costs so you can make a profit. I'm looking to add buy and holds because 1) I can invest less up front (looking at Sub30k market) 2) time frames are less costly 3) I want to earn income without constantly having to work for it (passive). If you're not actively flipping you're not making any new income. I've been tying to decide on wholesaling before I start the BRRR method and I think responding to your post just sealed the deal for me that while I do want to learn wholesaling to find good deals and learn more about the entire REI process, right now I want to focus on adding passive income so I can take a break when I want.

Welcome to BP @Paul Welch this is very helpful community with lots of resources for learning. In addition to key word alerts, search the blog posts for aapects of REI you want to learn more about. I put the topic "wholesaling" and "bigger pockets" in Google. For some reason I find better results that way than using the BP search engine.
