Had a similar situation on a recent flip and it was expensive. But, here's the thing: With certain jobs, I say just pay the money. Get an engineer to tell you how to correct it and then find a licensed contractor who can correct it even if not a "foundation" company. Why do I say it? Because foundation issues will come back to bite you on purchaser's inspection every time same as this one did. However, we cleared the inspection issue immediately because the contractor and engineer provided documentation as to what was done and the contractor provided a lifetime warranty on the work. Case closed and house sold. Had it been done any other way, that house would have come back on the market.
