I plan on house hacking my first home this year in Austin (hopefully "east side") and this forum is scaring me! Love that the city is doing so well but slow down for a second so I can buy a home!

Thanks everyone! Also, @Guy Gimenez and @Jeremy Gonzales , along with the meet ups, are there any lectures or seminars I should attend? If so, how do I find them? I would like to know a little more before just heading to meet ups with barely any knowledge...but if you're welcoming to newbies I will definitely attend asap.

Hello Everyone! 

I just wanted to introduce myself--I am new to BP and to real estate in general. I am about to get my license and am looking to buy my first property this year. I realize Austin is a tough market and I am spoiled because of the location I am renting in right now. Any advice for buying in the Austin area would be greatly appreciated. I've been reading some of the forums and you guys rock! Thank you!
