Check out  National REIA ( Real Estate Investors ***). You can find your local REIA Groups. Be mindfull that most are Non Profit & a few are For Profit. Also, Most do not allow pitching of products at the meetings.

I found Real estate Investment Groups per Meetup as mentioned in prior response. 

Finally, Educate your self first before purchasing a RE Note, Or Investment Property.  Check out some seminar speakers - John Schaub, Peter Fortiunato, Gary Johnston . Also, I buy used books from  Ebay, Thrift Books, Abe Books- A lot cheaper than new.

My wife & I are seeking a referral(s) for a CPA. I'm reposting again d/t we only received  2 CPA's names  but one of the CPA's has yet to respond to our phone call this past week. We wanted to  get at least 3 CPA's. 

Also, We are seeking an Accountant who gives us advice but does not make our decisions for us

Able to communicate to us in a Non - CPA Terms.
