Congrats!  I misread this post as well and thought you were saying you'd purchased on the northside.  Would it be a bother to have your REA reach out to me to help me as well?

Hi guys! What type of properties are you looking for? Fixer uppers, MLS properties, something else? I'm veteran planning on on moving back to the Chicagoland area from NYC next year so I can be closer to family. I plan to use my VA home loan and am thinking it would be a smart idea to team up with another veteran to afford a larger (3-4 family) building instead of just getting a 1-2 family building (depending on the prices that I run across). Do you guys have any monetary reserves? Where are you looking?

I bought my salesperson license course on Groupon for just a little over $100.  RealEstateU was the name of the course.

I'm pretty much in the exact same boat with the same mindset, after reading your post! Working on my RealEstateU course towards my salesperson license, looking to purchase in/around Newburgh, living in Manhattan. Have you found any decent properties through your analysis? I'd like to use a VA home loan but many sellers are looking for a high down payment or a higher price than asking with little room for negotiation.

Rochester's a ways away from home!  I'm a fintech worker as well.  How'd you manage a place all the way in Rochester?
