Funny, I had the same question, thanks for posting! I used Zillow to list my property as available for rent but haven’t tried their background check or application services yet. My listings did get a lot of traffic so I was pleasantly surprised in that regard. 

@Skye Anderson streets named after states are associated with lower income, higher crime areas of STL, so George made a good guess.

I ended up asking for a lower price taking your input into consideration. Although the deal fell through I avoided paying too much for that property. Thanks @David Pham @Peter MacKercher @Bob Hines for sharing your knowledge and experience!

The closing date for my under-contract duplex is quickly approaching, and I just found out the 2nd bedroom for each unit does not meet the minimum size requirements for a legal bedroom in Saint Louis City, MO.

Is $750/month considered above-market rent for a large 1 bed, 1 bath, +office/den with closet at 46xx S 37th St, 63116 with:

off-street parking

newly renovated kitchen and bathroom

back deck

hardwood floors
