I've been thinking about getting my RE license as well and from what I've gathered on BP it depends on the broker you hang your license with. It seems some are investor friendly and some aren't. If I was in your position I'd probably ask around at my local REIA and maybe call some brokers to ask them about my options. Hope this helps!

Welcome Michelle! I've heard Austin is a highly competitive market so kudos to you for all the success you've had so far and being able to do it all with four children! BP is a wonderful resource for networking and learning. Happy investing!
Hi I'm a newbie investor new to the OKC area looking for my first property. I'm seeking a small multifamily property (duplex/triplex/fourplex) within a 15 minute drive to Tinker Air Force Base where I could live in one unit and rent the rest, but I would prefer it to not be located in Midwest City or Del City. I'd like to buy in December 2014 and move in January 2015, but I have never purchased a home before so I am very new to the process. Are there any recommendations for real estate agents to contact to assist me in my search? Thanks!

Welcome Lance, it sounds like you've already gotten your feet wet in real estate investing, but you will be able to find a lot of great information here on BP and great people that will hopefully allow you to take your investing to whatever heights you desire. Best of luck!

I just recently made the move to OKC this month and am excited to get started in real estate! I plan to attend the OKC REIA meeting next month for the first time, but does anyone know if there is currently a BP group that regularly meets in OKC? If there isn't, would anybody be interested in one? Thanks!
