Yes I heard metal roof can last a very long period of use. Unfortunately, this one has trees very close to it. I’m not even too bugged about the roof like the wooden foundation. It just sounds weird. Thanks a lot for your contribution and thoughts!!

Thanks MB. I’m not particularly sure as of now if it’s pier and beam or otherwise. But I doubt it is because it’s a five unit brick building and I can’t imagine that sitting on a pier and beam type of foundation. I’ll definitely have an inspector look closely if I’m moving forward with it.

I have this 5-plex I’m looking at that’s built in 1968, has a wooden foundation and metal roof. This is practically the first time I’ll be coming by such. Does anyone know some merits and demerits to these?

To support your position; reading The Millionaire Next Door sums it up. As humans we just don’t value the same thing across the board. Some folks have massive net worths but you can’t really tell from the outlook of things like what car they drive e.t.c
