@Gerald Pitts I actually learned about the lockdown via this thread as I have opted to not watch the news during these times.
As Avery said hotels are the considered essential but nearly all of them are shut down.
I understand some of the surrounding states are also shutting down tonight.
I have sent all of our current bookings a note telling them about the situation. I believe the few bookings we have left will be gone soon.
Our Florida properly has been shut down (the entire state) and is blocked off.
My strategy has become “prepare.” I believe that when this is over we will see the highest occupancy and the highest nightly rates of a lifetime. So..... I’m raising my future rates and preparing. I’m also paying my housekeepers. Those of us that shut everything down and close our pockets in this time of need will be the last remembered when the good times return.
I continue to do the only thing that I believe I can.... which is stay positive. When we come out of this the entire nation will be rushing to book vacations and we will gladly show them a good time.

@Paul Sandhu @Luke Carl Seriously? They're called roommates. I rented the spare bedrooms out of my SFH in Cleveland for 3 years. Never had an issue. I don't know anyone who didn't have a roommate in their early-mid 20's.
Roommates have leases and stay for long periods of time. You don’t need Airbnb for that. Hence the subject of the post.
I was under the assumption the OP was speaking from a house-hacking standpoint as I didn't see any mention of Airbnb.
That is a possibility! But if so they should not have posted on the Short Term Rental Forum. There are a few of us that hang out here specifically. Occasionally I'll venture out onto the Landlord forum but that's a big day for me lol. You likely found this thread on the New or Trending page at which point you'd have to look to know which forum it was posted to.

No. Either real internet or zero internet.
It’s decisions like this one that will determine if you build your business with more doors or stay small.

I'm with @Paul Cox and @Chuck Kramer in what many consider to be the greatest short term rental market in the world.
While they have not yet totally shut us down, and I'd be surprised if they did just based on this being east Tennessee, I have noticed the quality of my bookings go way down the tubes. Every inquiry wants to know how much more of a discount I can give, and the number of MBPS my internet is, etc.
In the good times my response would have been "No discounts. Why do you need internet when the National Park is right here waiting for you."
I find its best to stick to my guns even in these trying times, therefore I'm not accommodating the annoying requests of the few inquiries I'm getting.
If however there's another 30 days of learning to live like this and paying out of pocket for mortgages -the policies will have to change. Life in general will have to change.

@Eleanor Fitzsimmons a PM isn't going to do this even if you do hire them. That's beyond their scope and would cost you extra if they were even interested.
Buy everything on wayfair.com and use thumbtack.com and takl.com to find people to bring the deliveries in, put them together, and set things up. In this process you may find some folks that you'll want to save their info to use them again in the future.
