@Jesse M. 😂😂😂 just because you consider felons doesn’t mean you let felons in no matter matter what. Like another lady said, some might have spent the time there turning life around. And didn’t sound like she was house-hacking, was she?
If it’s a rental, where u don’t live there, and the ex-felon wasn’t violent, and maybe he has a family....and he had gone to school, and had even picked a trade of some sort, u will still not pick him because of some theories about the kind of person he was or the kind of person he could become again instead of the person he is NOW?
And what exactly do you mean about not wanting to dog whistle?

@Chris Thomas
It’s funny because being denied where to live, and employment is a part of the reason why ex felons and convicts go back to prison.

@Deisy P.
So many dog whistles in this thread, especially in the comments. Lol let’s do better.
We really shouldn’t just turn people away just because they were once criminals, or have made bad decisions in the past. People change. The threshold for a fellony is so low, that having a felony doesn’t necessarily make u a bad renter.

@Jesse M.
Maybe he has just been turned down so much that he doesnt want to waste his time.
I would ask too, maybe in a different way, but yea... honestly it’s the landlords job to make sure to ask something like that. The fact that he’s bring it up first shows good character to me.

@Maimouna Sow UPDATE!!
I had one of my neighbors, a guy doing a flip near me, come and fix the microwave outlet, for me. He said it just needed to be grounded correctly. So far its working. I’ll update this post if it goes off again, or if it trips.
In any case, since the goal is to house hack this, I’ll cancel my appointment with that guy, and get things done later in a year or so.

@Matt Groth
So my panel was apparently double hooked on some recepticles, someone else told me that before too, and my microwave outlet didn’t work, so I was using an extension cord to plug it into non-dedicated outlet... and that outlet tripped.
So basically, the goal now was to fix the dedicated microwave outlet, he said the only way to do it is to rewireit cause they used a white wire instead of yellow one( not sure if he was bull-******** or if he was just oversimplifying it.
