@Tato Corcoran
I’ve only been running my Airbnb for a year, and out of 33 Bookings I’ve only had two people cancel due to issues in their lives. My cancellation policy is moderate so they can cancel five days before their stay.

This question makes no sense. So are we saying that if you cash flow 10k a month, but owe 1.2 million, how comfortable do you feel if risk is calculated properly. 10 k and debt free yes. Don’t fool yourself. Debt can bankrupt you quicker then you know.

I work at a major university in the United States, and I support 90% PCs and 10% Mac. I like both platforms for various reasons, first to be looking for cost savings and reliability, PCs will be half the cost. I’m both Apple certified and Dell certified, and I see about equal amount of problems between the platforms. It seems like the logic boards in the MacBook Pros tends to be its biggest call Brett. Luckily if you buy the three year extended warranty, you can get that replaced at no charge. The 2015 MacBook Pro‘s had a recall on their batteries, but not all models we’re covered under that recall. You have to check by serial number.At home I run a MacBook Pro, simply because I love it for the graphics, watching movies, reading forums. And also because I think the touchpad is amazing. The biggest pain in the butt with Mac, is they are constantly changing their ports from Thunderbird to display panel to USB to USB three to USB. It’s like they want you to buy a different type of cable every year. Also there are no ethernet ports in any of these lapto models. So once you buy all of the adapters and extra cords, that adds onto the price that’s already pretty high. .
As for PCs, we work with OptiPlex, latitude and HP models. Lately we’ve had a bad string of luck with docking stations and video displays going bad. As long as you have the four year warranty those are covered. The beauty of PC laptops, is most of them have ethernet ports on them and USB, HDMI, so it makes compatibility very simple.
Both platforms work very well with cloud-based back ups in storage. Also both platforms work easily with office products and Adobe reader DC for PDF files.

I realize mines not as impressive as everyone else’s, but I bought a duplex in south Minneapolis, a B+ neighborhood for 179,000. This was 2014, and I thought I was overpaying. Here we are 2019 and I wish I would’ve bought five of them back then. This house is not valued at 280000. I’m bringing in $2400 a month in rent. Very happy with this duplex.

This idea goes even as far back as the prodigal sons in the Bible, where the father rewards both of his sons and says you can have all my riches. One of the sons stays and works hard shepherding, and the other one takes off with all of his money and blows it in the city.
It’s been proven over and over if you give three people the same amount of money, one will save it and will spend it and the other one will make risky deals and blow the money on stupid things. So if you think giving everyone $1000 will make everyone equal or better their lives, you’re crazy. It could help a very small select group of people, but that’s about it and that’s not worth 3.14 trillion or whatever that number was. Most people have no clue how to handle money.

To be honest that isn’t a lot of student debt. I had 28k in 1995. I worked hard and paid them off. Work hard and put in many hours and you should be able to off these debts in 3 years.

Why is the sky always falling? If you make good investment deals it doesn’t matter what the economy is doing. We are in one of the best economiies ever. If you aren’t making money your doing something wrong.

The interesting part is that tenants appreciate the hard work I put towards my rental. They feel as though I care and take care and if my properties. I personally feel that the tenants love someone who takes care of the properties not somebody who’s passive aggressive.

Go to the library and check out the magazine Consumer Reports April issue where they look at used models and the repair and reliability history. Use TrueCar‘s or car X to find a model such as a Toyota Camry That can easily run up to 300,000 miles. My wife and I have both had used Toyota Camry’s with the four-cylinder and both cars went well over 200,000 miles before we sold them. Then take the vehicle to a reliable mechanic and have them check it out. This usually cost around 40 bucks. I’ll bet you can find one for around $5000.
