Hello all,

I appreciate folks' helpful posts!

I had also been trying to decide between Buildium and DoorLoop.  I have done a lot of research and did a trial of each and saw a live demo of each.  However, it seems to me that no matter how many reviews I read or how much research I do, I always find many things I do and don't like, once I start using the software, that I haven't seen mentioned in any reviews or articles.  Maybe it's just me!  But if anyone is interested, I could write some of my detailed experiences and findings about these 2 quality products.  Let me know!  :-)

@David Bitton,

I would love to chat with you about my experiences.  It was really neck and neck for me between the 2, and in the end, I chose Buildium.  I signed up 2 days ago, and now that I am using it, I am finding certain aspects of the software very frustrating.  I am considering switching.  There were many things I liked about DoorLoop.  But there were a few deal breakers (which is why I went with Buildium), and I am wondering if you can potentially address those.  The account manager, with whom I worked, could not.  But there were many things I loved about DoorLoop, and if these other items could be addressed, I would probably switch.  Thanks so much, and I look forward to hearing from you!

Reposting this because I  accidentally deleted one of my tags:

Thanks, @Leah Delaney ! Much appreciated!!

Hi @Mario Malpelli, that is a great question! I’m fairly new to BP, but I think if you tag someone in your post, you’ll be more likely to get a response. Leah Delaney has been very helpful and responsive to me. Maybe tagging the instructor Ashley Kehr would be a good idea. Hope this is helpful. Best to you in your investing career!!

Thanks, @Account Closed!  Much appreciated!!

Thanks, @Account Closed! I'll check those out!  I also posted this a few days ago, and haven't heard back yet.  I tagged Mindy Jensen, but maybe I should have tagged you?  Is this something you can help me with?  Thanks!

"Hello, I signed up earlier today, and I am so excited!! I am very new to Real Estate investing but am reading and attending webinars and watching podcasts and am learning all I can. I am thrilled about this opportunity to attend the Real Estate Rookie Bootcamp. Question - should a husband and wife team sign up individually, or can we both attend under a single sign up?

Thanks!"

Hello @Account Closed, I’m pretty new to Bigger Pockets and to Real Estate investing, so I’m feeling especially grateful for this upcoming boot camp to help me and others get started and be successful. I’m excited to meet other students and learn together, build momentum, and collaborate and support each other.
I wondered if there is anything you suggest to do in the meantime, before class starts? I am reading some of Brandon’s books, as well as some others, like those by Robert Kiyosaki and Ken McElroy, and watching some podcasts. There is so much awesome content out there. Do you have any recommendations on where to focus for now, or what content to read / watch to best get started / prepare for the course? Thanks so much!

@Steven Moore, I am excited, too! I appreciate your enthusiasm and sense of community and desire to win together! I’m excited for us all to support each other to create successes together as well! See you in class.

@Sasidhara Manthena, are you also in Oregon? If so, what part?  Best to you in your Real Estate Investing! :-)

Dear all,

I am very new, and I have been quite impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness I have seen from member posts. I am grateful to have found this community!!

My name is Marian. I live in Salem, OR. My main goal is to find good deals, in Oregon and in other states, and primarily do BRRRR. However, my goals may change and/or expand as I learn more.

I have lots of questions, and I will be posting more questions. I wanted to start with these 2.

  1. 1.  Does anyone know a really good CPA in Oregon? I am thinking like those who are recommended in the book “Tax Free Wealth,” but maybe a step down or 2. My understanding is that their retainers are around $10,000, and while I am sure they are well worth it, we are just getting started and probably don’t need that level of caliber yet. Feel free to correct me – I am here to learn! I remember Robert Kiyosaki saying to pay your accountants and lawyers well!
  2. 2. Does anyone know good Real Estate lawyers in Oregon and in other states, and also good lawyers in Oregon to help with Estate Planning and Trusts?

A little more background info:

I have read some of Brandon’s books and watched some of his webinars and podcasts. Wow, I have so much to learn! I am reading Rich Dad Poor Dad now. I have also started reading some of the Rich Dad Advisor books. How wonderful that successful people are helping us and teaching us how to invest in Real Estate.

I have been so impressed by what good teachers these authors are, and what valuable information they have. I am so excited and grateful! I also just signed up for the Bigger Pockets Rookie Bootcamp Fall 2021. Maybe I will “See” some of you there?

Thanks in advance for any help!  Looking forward to collaborating with you to create success for all of us, and win-win situations for tenants, sellers, and all involved in or affected by our investing and our transactions and businesses.

Best, Marian
