Congrats! If you're up in the Cleveland area this weekend, the Great Lakes REIA is having a day workshop on wholesaling. A retired investigator who worked for the ohio division of real estate will be there- which is a first and quite a big deal. The focus is on always being above board on wholesale deals. Take care!

most of the above comments have said it already. From my own experience I would like to reinforce: (Most of the time ) you get what you pay for!
If you bought properly, and your estimated repairs costs were fairly accurate, paying Contractors and laborers what they're worth shouldn't be a problem.
