Real Estate Investing is all fun and games until you need medical insurance.  This is a concern that I would like to get some feedback on.  Can anyone provide any advice or suggestions on going from a job with benefits to no benefits at all?

Were you able to locate reasonably priced medical insurance?

Do you think 401k is a necessity?

Do you think the wealth that you can potentially receive as an REI makes up for the lost benefits from the full time job? Meaning, can/are you able to fully finance yourself with the funds from REI (able to pay your own medical bills out of pocket, savings built up enough so you don't need 401K, etc.)

I just don't know what to expect and It would be amazing to get some insight on it so that I know what to prepare for.

Thanks BP!

That's awesome! I am looking to wholesale first and then try my hand at BRRRR and manage some rentals. I hope to get as good as you! ;) Maybe we can connect in the future!

Hey! On this BP website under 'Tools', then 'FilePlace', you can search for wholesale contracts and other documents that you may find helpful.  Good luck! I'm also in Omaha looking to do the same so I would love to connect eventually!

Would it be beneficial for brand new investors? Or is this moreso for people who already have their hand in the business?

@Allan Bishop Jr. Hey Allan! Thank you for saying that.  I'm a strong believer in keeping your people first and while the goal is to be able to have financial freedom so that I can travel around the world, I want to be able to make sure that I take care of home first and give back.

I found a meetup in the next couple weeks actually and I am so excited to attend and network!

I will check out the books regarding financing with low/no money down for sure.  The calculator was WAY less complicated than I thought it was going to be so that was a relief.

Taking this advice today! Thanks again!

@Marlon Fong Thanks so much for your response!

I've requested a handful of professionals in my area, just waiting on responses from them.  However, I am currently connected with a couple people outside of my preferred state.

I've setup some key words including BRRRR, financing, single family homes, etc. I've been getting the notifications like crazy and its all full of helpful information.

I've been listening to the podcasts faithfully at work and taking notes when I hear new information.

I plan to set aside time today to read the beginners guide.

I appreciate the advice and I am on it!
