Scott, the surplus of deals is a necessary stage in professional growth:

  1. Shortage of transactions. We are working on increasing their number
  2. Sufficiency of transactions. Perfect our experience.
  3. Oversupply of trades. We select the best ones. We think about moving up to the next level.
  4. Repeat from point 1 until we reach the 80th level.

@Jason Malabute, you can lose CRM data just like Excel.

I think the moral of your story is to make backups. For both Excel and CRM.

Backup

I use Cobian Backup Gravity for backup. The program is freeware, even when used in commercial environments.

A good backup is when data is stored in 3 geographically different places. I store backups:

  • on my main hard drive
  • on an external USB drive (2 TB)
  • in Dropbox (2 GB for free)
  • in PCloud (10 GB for free).

Hackathon (hacker + marathon) is a very popular format for IT meetings. Hackathon members together create something useful - program, screencast, article, video,... Our Zoom hackathon will be like a Zoom meetup.

During the hackathon, we will create a REI cold script of seller survey (image by NeedPix.com):

You can find the link to the Zoom room on the event page 5 minutes before the start of the meeting.

@Jonathan Greene, I did not know this nuance. Thank you for the advice, I will check every time the short Zoom links are correct.

@Jonathan Greene, you can use a free link-shortening service like Bitly.com.

The service transforms your long link into a short one: https://bit.ly/3hsuzLf .

Post: Best CRM for Real Estate (click-to-dial, managing leads, texting)

Joe R., FreshSales CRM works well with phone calls:

  • Dialing in a couple of clicks
  • Multi-number support
  • Recording calls, notes of the bell
  • SMS support. You can send personalized SMSes to your leads and contacts individually, in bulk, and through your workflows.

FreshSales has a good free plan, you only pay for calls and numbers.

@Severin Sadjina, I'm interested in a virtual meetup on ML in real estate investment.

Meeting options

Option 1) Come to the Zoom Hackathon "Create REI CRM (Podio Based)" on Sunday, August 23, at 12 PM EDT (18:00 Norway Time). On the hackathon, we will train our CRM to assess the viability of real estate through open databases. Some of the source databases are listed in the BiggerPockets articles:

Option 2) I have the right to post announcements on BiggerPockets "Real Estate Events and Happenings" forum.

During the Zoom hackathon, we will create a small REI CRM based on Podio's "Free" tariff plan.

Our hackathon is recommended for RE investors who want:

  • Learn how to work with Podio
  • Jump from Excel or another CRM to Podio
  • Delegate the lead generation to your VA.

You can find the link to the Zoom room on the event page 5 minutes before the start of the meeting.

@C Lorms, Prices for virtual tour begin from $200-300. For example, here or here.
