@Paul Sandhu are these things your cleaners do? Sounds like a handyman’s job. I wouldn’t ask a cleaner to replace a flapper valve or wax ring.... but maybe I have the wrong cleaners :)

@Caleb Heimsoth I agree, I only wish I could double vote your post... you would think as an “investor” people would understand dips in a market... instead you see people so set in their ways that they don’t understand diversification... there are 0% of billionaires who made their money in one single way or asset class. Everyone needs to stop bashing any other opinion as a reason to, or not to, invest in xyz company, property, etc. Find an opportunity and run with it... to say the stock market hasn’t gone up or that the RE market hasn’t gone down is ridiculous... act like an investor and identify opportunities and, when It happens, take your losses and run with them... no one who invested (intelligently) over the last 10-15 years is losing money on any asset class... if you want to be on the Forbes 20 list CREATE something... but I can guarantee you Bezos, Gates, Zuckerberg, etc. didn’t stop at saying you only had to invest in stocks OR real estate to get rich and I’m sure they are well diversified...

@Warren Garceau Great job, I’m in a similar family/job situation and trying to make it work sooner rather than later. What town is that in? Was it occupied or are you filling it? Did it need any repairs or turnkey?

@Johann Jells Thabks again, it turns out it was the heat exchanger between the boiler and the storage tank. Replaced that and it is working fine.
The repair guys did mention getting rid of the tank bc it’s older and going to a tankless instead of replacing the exchanger. I did the exchanger to be done with it for now but may do the tankless in the future.

@Dan Tisser Welcome to the BP community, as a fellow Long Islander I’m in the same boat. I’ve been looking to buy out of state though, mainly buy and hold in RI or MD let me know if you ever want to grab a coffee to talk RE and kick around ideas.

@Ned Carey Thanks Ned, I always appreciate your posts... we already have the low flow which is frustrating anyway but hasn’t changed anything
