Correct me if I'm wrong but if it's a new build I'm sure you can separately water/sewer the duplex. I state this because my father has many years in every field of construction and you can build it how you want with the right permits.

It's where you rent out a portion of your primary residential home to drive the cost of your own living expenses down. Myself I have a 3b/2b trip level home and I rent out a bedroom for 450/m and slowly working on getting the other room into a STR. "House hacking" will allow me to pay down my VA home loan so I can refi and use the benefits again. -Matt Moore

@James Carlson I was actually considering house hacking one room M2M while Airbnb/vrbo the other room that way I have a monthly income. while at the same time having only one room to upkeep. Maybe you could give me the contact info on some of those PM's and I could give them a call.

@Craig Curelop Thank you! however I believe that M2M leasing will be best for me considering that I'm in the military. I don't believe the intense schedule will allow me to adequately keep up with frequent turn over.

I'm looking for anyone that maybe able to help me build a lease or give pointers for how to get a lease for someone house hacking. Thanks in advanced.
