Hey, @Christopher Lynch - this is a great inquiry! I actually host a podcast that interviews investor friendly agents in various regions throughout the nation and just got done interviewing an agent that services Maine/NH. She currently is working with me to find a STR in New Hampshire. If you're interested let's connect and I'll share her information with you! You can also listen to her interview on the podcast!

Luckily we haven't had anything under 5 stars on either VRBO or AirBNB, but we do vet each and every guest. No instant booking.
wow - that's impressive!

I would call again and speak to someone else and/or have the issue escalated. Do you have proof? You should submit that as well and escalate further.
Post: Top Markets for BRRRR - Seeking RE Mentorship in San Diego

Hey, @Marco Young I think BRRRR is such a great way to tap into real estate investing! I would echo what others have said and do your flips local, build a team, and become the expert in your region. If you want to do long term rentals those are easier to do from a distance! I'd recommend connecting through bigger pockets to find investor friendly real estate agents and then going from there, they will be your biggest asset.
I am an agent in the KC metro area so happy to answer any questions you have about this market! I also have a podcast that highlights investor friendly real estate agents across the nation, tapping into different markets, so that might also be a resource for you!
Looking forward to seeing how you grow!

I'd lean heavily on your investor friendly agent, get into contact with a LOCAL PM company, and make friends with planning/zoning in your target city!

Welcome to the community @Alec Santiago and congrats on the PhD! Are you interested in doing any VA work? Are you seeking your real estate license or just wanting to work under an investor friendly real estate agent?
Hey Michelle! Thank you, and I'll have to check out your podcast! In the age of Zoom, I'm not sure if you mean Virtual Assistant or Veterans Affairs haha. Either way, I'm open to whatever I can learn! Down the line I'll definitely get my license, but for now I'm mostly looking for exposure and knowledge.
haha oh my that's great! I am a huge military supporter, my husband is active duty and my dad is a veteran, but I meant virtual assistant! lol and I do work with a lot of military clients! Let's definitely connect - I'll sen you a message and we can exchange emails!

I have been looking at condos in the Ozarks. Specifically, Osage Beach, Mo. I am looking to invest in a waterfront condo either 1 or 2 bedrooms to use as short term rental. I am curious if the group has any feedback on the area and occupancy rate I can expect.
We just invested in a STR in this area - I don't recommend a condo, hoa dues kill the numbers. I'd look into buying a lake front house that is NOT in an hoa. Reach out if you want more info!
