I'm thinking of opening a Heloc to fund my first BRRRR. I'm also considering a cash out refinance. Has anyone's Helocs been called early recently due to COVID? Cash out refinance seems more safe but also more expensive to get. What do you see as the pros and cons at this time of a heloc vs cash out?
Thanks!

@Matt Thompson did you end up going with his product? I'm trying to do research on this as well and find out the pros and cons. Thanks!

@Matthew Ruderman oh yea, understandable. I wouldn't really want to do that either but didn't realize you were married. I would stay local for my first one, just venturing to a different state now for my 4th buy and hold. Perhaps look in Passaic county vs Bergen?

@Account Closed even if I didn’t use this “assistance” and paid all mortgages on time?

I requested mortgage assistance through Chase due to the uncertainty of coronavirus back in April. I have made all payments on time but "deferred payments" were reported to the credit bureaus; I found out because I'm trying to purchase a new rental. Supposedly Chase alerts the credit bureaus the first 5 days of the month. Does anyone know how long it takes for this to be removed from your credit? Is there anyway I can expedite this? Will I have to order a credit report to ensure that this has been removed? Anyone else dealing with this?
