Thank you very much @David PanzeraI thought it would be legal. Its pretty hard to see brokers walk away with 4-7k in commission checks and not think it should be yours.

Thank you very much @Fred Heller. Does the firm you're referring to have separate entities, or are they the same exact company collecting all the checks?
Hey @Darren Sagerits been a while! Also, my broker did mortgages, she was never a leasing agent or real estate broker. Someone she worked with misinformed her and she trusted their word. I knew it could be done as I've experienced it first hand in the city, while I was a salesperson.
Thank you both for the insight, its greatly appreciated.

Hello All,
I am currently a property manager in NYC and I wanted to know is it legal for a property management company , that is also a real estate brokerage to market their listings and collect a brokers commission or "rental fee" for finding new tenants?
If not, would it be considered legal if the brokerage and management companies were under two separate entities?
Don't mean to sound greedy but we put in a lot of hard work for our buildings , and random brokers are collecting thousands of dollars in profits that can be put back in to our company.
Thank for the help!

Hello BP family, I'm a Realtor in New York City that would like to become more of an investor or at least work with investors. What would be the best way to find investors to partner up with?
Thank You. All replies are greatly appreciated!
