Post: Advice on next steps

Hello BP,

I am currently in the process of closing on a 2 Unit. My husband and I are trying to decide what our next steps are. I was wondering what your advice would be? The 2 unit is under my name so we were possibly thinking of buying a unit under my husbands name, or would flipping be a better option? We are relatively new to this but we both agree that we want to get more involved in real estate (renting & flipping). Also, we would need to take out a loan rather then pay out cash.

Hello Everyone, I am currently in the process of buying my first multi unit. The multi unit will be under my name (mortgage, home, etc.). My husband and I would like to start flipping as well. Has anyone in here ever bought a home or multi unit (with a mortgage) and their spouse purchase a home under their name?

Mark F. My mother is not 62, she is 44. Will this be an issue?

hello everyone,

My mother paid off her mortgage this year and we are looking for ways to increase her monthly income. Someone brought up the idea of taking out a home equity loan. My question is, what is the best option: buying a cheap home and flipping it or purchasing a multi unit and collecting the rent. I am aware that she will have to pay a monthly fee on the loan and keep up with the upkeepings of the multi unit. I'm just trying to find better options for her

Hello Everyone,

My husband and I have decided to start investing in real estate. We just made an offer for a multi unit (2 units). We will live in one and rent the other. I have been reading books and watching webinars on real estate. Its something completely different than what we are accustomed to but we are really excited. Any tips would be helpful.

Thanks.
