1. Learn

2. Learn

3.Learn

Its all about education and knowledge and you have tons of materials on this site to achive that. Ways of doing this include:

1. Start from podcasts and Webiners

2. Read availabe ebooks that are free on thi site. @Michael S. already gave you the Ultimate Beginner's Guide above.

3. Ask any question on the forum and folks here ar every knowledgeable and generous with information.

4. Be active on the forum.

My one cent!

Happy investing...

@Gagan Johal

Congratulations! what a grande way to close the year!

I wish you success in 2016.

Merry Christmas

I do not believe these doom's-day predictions.. if they you follow the basic principles of investment, doing your due diligence and the numbers work, why not?. I do not have any emotional attachment to any of my properties in any location..For me, if the numbers make sense, and other variables are good, am on.

Anyone, a barber or teacher or your chiropractor can invest in RE even if they know 'nothing' about RE as long as they have proper guidance from an experienced investor, they should be ok.

@Sofia Nguyen

I love your enthusiasm..it is one of the winning personality attributes every REI should aspire to have.

Keep on doing what you are doing; in less than no time, you will acquire self confidence and requisite knowledge to plunge in..

One thing I have learnt is never stop improving...ask whatever question you have on the forum and NEVER think that any question is too naove to be asked. Folks on the forum are eager to share their experiences freely..

Welcome aboard....

@Kyle Grimm

Big congratulations for achieving your set goals.

Hey Brandon,

As always, thank you for the innovative ideas on making BP site a go-to site for REI. This one is not an exception. I took a quick stab at it and here are my observations:

1. The date field for year of purchase should be more intuitive in allowing users to pick the year. You may have this as a pick list as scrolling backwards to get a date of purchase ( say as recent as 2011), takes the user through multiple clicks.

2. The following fields ( purchase amount, current value and cashflow) should allow for display of numbers with thousands/millions  separator ( eg 20,000.00 format).

Otherwise, the feature of ability to email this in  a pdf format is great.

Again, thanks for the awesome job you folks are doing.

Have a Merry Christmas.

I dont even know whom my tanants are and I like it that way..Maybe its beacuse I manage them through a PM, but even if I manage them personally, they will only knoe me as a PM and not a ladlord.....its safer and easier to deal with any issues when you dont get too personal with business...
