@Brandon Sturgill thanks for the info. I should know my schedule in the next few days. I liked the interactive and straight up analysis on the map.

@Alina Trigub Great advice. I really do appreciate the time. Do RE attorneys specialize in one type of property type? Like only in multi?

@Spencer Gray Thank you so much for the response. Would it be a better plan to connect speak to PMs and see if they know of a property that may be for sale? I like the plan of putting together my team, vice going there with I have to find a property. Different mindset that I will have to adjust to. Thank you again.

I'm coming to Columbus next Monday, April 8th to see if it is the right place for me to build a team. I am looking to purchase an apartment complex with 10+ doors in a B or C+ neighborhood. Value added is a plus. Budget is 600-900K Looking to make some connections with like minded investors and real estate professionals in the area.

I'm coming to Cincinnati next Thursday, April 4th to see if it is the right place for me to build a team. I am looking to purchase an apartment complex with 10+ doors in a B or C+ neighborhood. Value added is a plus. I have bought SFR, but this is my first time interacting with commercial real estate agents. What's usually the etiquette? Do I send over proof of funds so that they know that I am not a tire kicker?

@Brandon Sturgill the numbers made more sense in Ohio overall. It was the population growth of Columbus was enticing, the other cities had merits as being established centers of population(Cleveland/Cincinnatti) though there are good parts and not so good parts about each city. I had to choose one to start in. Plus a cheap direct flight from the west coast sealed it.

@Frederick Kuo I'm in the same situation, though looking for smaller apartment complexes of about 10-20 doors in the places that you mentioned. I would prefer a B area. For the reasons that @Jake Walroth mentioned is why I will start with Cincinnati also looking at N KY as he mentioned.

@Thomas S. I'm with him. I did the math on my rental here in San Diego and realized that I was not going getting anywhere near a decent return on my equity. I bought my rental in 2002 and it rode it through the highs and the low low lows. My tenants had just moved out when I started listening to BP. So I am selling and reinvesting my equity. Sell now and stop losing money. Interview at least 3 agents and only interview ones that sell a ton of properties.
