Can anyone recommend a CPA based here in Orange County?

Hi @Steven Nguyen- I was active in local OC meetups pre-covid but haven't networked nearly as much since. I would be interested as well in participating in a mastermind of sorts. A bit about me- I have worked in lending for the last 4-5 years, specializing in single family & multifamily portfolio, multifamily bridge & term, and residential investment financing. Spent a brief time working for a public REIT running their acquisitions efforts in Phoenix, buying an average of 16-20 properties/mo and assisted efforts in other markets across the Sun Belt. I personally own a small portfolio in Kansas City with my business partner. Feel free to connect, I'm based in Irvine

@Tim Hoh I can provide the name of the insurance agent I use. I'm also investing in KC from SoCal so I'd be happy to connect and share best practices. Feel free to PM me

@Kenny Hall
Hi Kenny! I personally focus on the KC market but work in acquisitions for a group that owns and operates 100+ properties in Indy. Send me a PM and I can send you our buy box. I’d be happy to figure out a way to work together.

@Lane Kawaoka
Thanks! I’ll send you a PM
My business partners and I have a few properties under our belts already but have made it a commitment to focus more of our energy on investing for ourselves.
My previous job had me working with investors across the country and I was able to pick their brains while working to structure their loans. I'm currently working for an institutional SFR fund but what I've quickly realized is that even with my background there are plenty of nuances between doing it for yourself vs doing it for others. Mainly after the deal closes!!
Part of what I like about rei is that there’s always something to learn!

Hi BP,
I’ve been lurking for a while now, with the occasional post, but have made it a point to me and my future self to become more engaged with this community and actively connect with like-minded people!
I previously worked for a commercial lender specializing in single-family and multi-family portfolio loans but recently made a switch and currently work in acquisitions for a large rental housing company. My 9-5 has me working throughout the Sun Belt and Indianapolis but I'm also focused on growing my own rental portfolio in the Kansas City metro (primarily SFR, but have the ability to pursue 2-4 unit properties and/or small apartments).
If you’d like to connect, feel free to drop me a message!

Sounds a bit high. I have $90k single family rental outside of Kansas City that I'm paying $550/yr on for insurance. Policy covers $1M liability, 6 months loss of rent, and at 100% replacement cost. Like others have said, I'd shop around.
