Hello all!

My husband and I are headed down to Joshua Tree next week to look at properties - woohoo! I was wondering if anybody had some recommendations for cleaners/handyman (or woman of course lol) that they would be willing to share with us?

Hi Cindy!

We've been looking into the differences with hauled water and what not. It seems like there are a lot of nuances about the desert that we need to learn haha.

Everything in JT is on septic so be sure to check that. Location is huge and it is getting more saturated with STR but keep lot size in mind. Some of the lots have been subdivided many times. Most were originally 5 acres.

Great point! I've seen plenty of the mediocre ones posted, we're actually headed down there next week and rented from two superhosts so we can see what a great place looks like!

Hello Danny!

Congratulations! That is really exciting! We are looking to property in the Yucca Valley as well, from what we can tell, Yucca rents for the same price as JT. We are actually road tripping down there next week to look at properties, and booked two separate airbnb's in Yucca.

Hi All! I too am new to this thread but wanted to post here because I recently closed on a property out in the Joshua Tree area and wanted to join in on the fun! I referenced Joshua Tree "area" because it's technically in the city of Yucca Valley, CA.

I did some research on AirDNA and noted that it performs relatively similarly to Joshua Tree STRs. Can anyone attest to this? My investment was based on data from AirDNA and I am wondering if anyone here can attest to whether I can rely on AirDNA's data.

Thank you all!

Hello Prachi! Where are you from originally? We have a rent by the room 6 bedroom house in Roseville a couple of miles from the downtown and we had no problem finding great tenants. I know anywhere near colleges or hospitals are always popular. I'm not sure this is a ton of help but feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
