We have two properties in Craven County and looking for someone to refinish a total of 4 bathtubs. The are manufactured homes and the tubs are yellow. Would like to have them refinished in white.

Yes and No. It depends on the time you have and if you are accustomed to driving that distance although, I would not assume you would be driving there on a regular basis. I drive about 2 hours to one of my properties and do not have property management. To some people that is ridiculous but we take 3.5 hour trips almost every month to VA just for leisure so for us it is nothing. If 2.5 hours seems too long of a drive for you I recommend just hiring a PM or if legal, paying a friend to help you manage them.

My husband and I do not have a PM. We do it all ourselves. Honestly I feel like we learned a lot more not hiring a PM. For one, it definitely taught me how to communicate more effectively with all people. It taught me to be more patient but also to stand my ground when dealing with tenants who try to get over. It allowed me to make some great connections with contractors that we now have a great rapport with. My husband is learning how to do simple rehab and repair work. Plus we end up learning about more deals when working with contractors and handymen we deal with directly. We just hired my cousin as an assistant that we are also mentoring who will also be learning the same things we learned. We are definitely not ruling out a PM and will definitely use one in the future if it makes sense. I enjoy being a landlord. I've met some interesting tenants. A PM does not allow me to have that rapport with my tenants that I prefer to have.

My husband works in IT. He's also in the process of starting his own consultant business and teaching classes part time. Right now he is taking a break from working to get one of our properties rent ready due to a crazy situation with a previous tenant. I'm a private investigator and own 3 businesses outside of REI. Our plans are to build our Real Estate Empire to where we are cash flowing at least 20k a month.

Hey guys! I'm interested in meeting up one on one with other investors in the Triangle area. I own multiple other businesses and don't really have the time to attend meetups as often as I'd like. My husband and I currently invest in single family rentals. Looking to expand to multifamily and mobile home parks. I'm usually available to schedule meetups M-F before 4pm. So lets meet for coffee or lunch and get to know each other whether you are a newbie or seasoned investor.

@Kim Younkin Thanks! We are planning on 30 by the end of the year and then taking a nice long break.
