Please bring back the "Switch to Old Forums" button.

@Greg Scott could you share some of the specifics of your feedback to the new format?

thanks

Quote from @David Robertson:

Here's my visual feedback.  As @Mike S. stated I think showing all of the poster stats with the poster description, post count and vote count is very distracting and also confusing.  When I see the User post count & vote count, I keep thinking that is the # of posts on this Forum post.  That information seems unnecessary.

Otherwise, by just making some small visual changes I think the overall forum posts would look a more compact and easier to scroll through.  In the screenshot below the overall height of each forum post has been reduced by 50%.

Generally speaking, I also think the font-sizes are too big.

Just my .02 cents.

@David Robertson thanks for the detailed feedback you and others have pointed out about the list view, we have prioritized and are tracking changes...appreciate it

Each post takes up more screen room with a blurb from the post below it.

I liked the old one better.

Not because I was used to it, but it displayed more info on the screen w/o scrolling.

Also, how the post would update showing the last poster to comment, vs the OP being frozen there was a nice look.

I personally preferred that feature.

With the BIG look to each post, when they are listed it seems 7th grade-ish compared to the tight method it was before.

Aimed at kids in middle school.

I like the old way better for those reasons, not because I am used to it.

Good Luck!

@Scott Mac we appreciate the insight and specifics you've given in your feedback. We will track it in our list of future improvements.

It is STILL missing Jump to last POST...     just like last time you upgraded, please this is an essential feature!
well I just tried it again and it appears it takes 3 clicks to get to the last post.

one to open the forums  two to open the thread and three to click on the Oldest newest tab..  and oldest comes up so unless you know there is a newest under neath that tab you maybe stymied a big.. but then you click newest and U get to the last post.   but I agree it would be great just to have a seperate tab for Last post its more intuitive and would save one click.

@Colleen F. @Jay Hinrichs, thanks for the feedback, we've noted this since you brought it up Jay and are tracking it as a future improvement.

The biggest item missing is the dropdown forum menus from the main header menu.  Everything else I can get used to, but having to search forums limits my ability to find forum subjects I may be interested in, and the long list of all forums is not easy to navigate.

I liked to hover over the forums, see the main forum topics (i.e. commercial real estate) and hover over that to get the three sub forums.

@Evan Polaski thanks, we will track this in our list of future improvements.

Hello everyone,

I am a real estate investor that is looking to grow my assets. I'm still working my day job in Healthcare, but I hope to leverage real estate as my way to financial freedom. I currently own an investment condo in Arlington, VA and 4plex in San Antonio, TX. Thanks for having me!

Hey Ryan welcome to the community and first off thank you for what you do as a firefighter/paramedic. Its always encouraging to see and hear other people with real jobs and real lives start on their journey towards building wealth through real estate investing. I definitely believe your work ethic will translate over and start to bear continual fruit for you. I am just getting started on my journey as well though I haven't acquired my first property yet but looking forward to closing that first deal this year.
