Hello Keith

If you really own the property I should say first !

Evalutes returns versus risks Rental demand versus supply of properties Price to rent ratio, tenant  quality and screening process,  eviction laws Why going abroad and not investing in your own country ?

Economic, social and political stability of the country, natural risks, etc

Currency issues

How would you get your rents while abroad ? banking and money transfer issues

Tax issues in both countries

Legal issues. Is the foreign landlord well protected ?

Could you find a reliable real estate company or property management company who is able  take care of your property ?

Exit strategy, liquidity, estate planning and inheritance issue

etc, etc

Hello,

We have invested in Thailand and New Zealand (this market is now overvalued). Prices in France are decreasing but regulations and taxes can be cumbersome.

Hi everybody

Glad to meet other international investors like you. I love the USA and South East Asia and definitely there are some pros and cons in those markets.

I also keep it private even on Bigger Pockets where I want to stay anonymous.

A job only provides a salary where most bosses won't free you up.

So I think that your plans to  free yourself should be kept in secret.

@Jared, your dad is so true !!!

@ David, you are so right !

Being financially independant is a way to be happier for me.

Accumulate wealth is about sharing and caring for the others, the community and the environment.

Some people don't strive for financial independence because :

- they don't care ?

- they have fears ?

- they don't know the way and how to ?

- they don't have enough motivation and clear goals ?

- they are enslaved to their work, habits and their environment ?

- they may be happy with their actual life and don't ask the same questions as us ? And that is how the world is and the beauty of human diversity ...........

Abe,

With the offer to the seller, have a proof of funds ready like a letter from the bank where your friend live and where the money will come from.

It helps when the market is so competitive. Good luck !

Hello

I think that you really need to be in the US to open a bank account. And you can pay your bills online.
