@Mike Taddy Hi Mike, yup this is a straight investment property, so no FHA/ primary home funding for this one.

Hi all,

Newbie looking to move on my first duplex. Recently had an offer accepted for a duplex in San Antonio. I have been shopping for ways to finance the property. After calling multiple lenders and brokers, it seems as if my only option through conventional loans is a 75% LTV. Putting 25% down for the property is going to stretch me a little bit, and wanted to know if anyone had similar experiences/advice on how to fund the deal with leaving more cash on hand. Thanks everyone, happy holidays!

@Michael Plaks Ill re post in Financing, thank you!!

@Jay Helms I am open to the idea and have been discussing with a few people in my network, however no luck yet.

@Jason HirkoNot planning to rehab. I do anticipate the property needing a few repairs from turnover, but nothing major. Do you have any specific portfolio lending banks/ CUs in the SA area that you could recommend?

Thanks all.

@Von S.

@Ben Freiman

Thanks for the replies! I won't be house hacking on this one, it is going to be (hopefully) tenant occupied, so I cannot get an FHA for it.
