found this online. Wanted to know if i could just start building more detached residences.

http://www.cityofsacramento.org/Community-Development/Planning/Current-Planning/Zoning

  • R-1: Standard Single-Family Zone: This is a low density residential zone composed of single-family, detached residences on lots a minimum of fifty-two (52) feet by one hundred (100) feet in size. A duplex or a half-plex is allowed on a corner lot subject to compliance with development standards. Residential neighborhoods are commonly zoned this way.

Trying to run numbers on this multifamily unit in sacramento, ca. The place is run down and needs close to 100k to bring the place up to profitable rents. The place has 10 units currently and sits on almost 2 acres. I wanted to add more units but wasn't sure about the process. Can anyone advise/share a resource ?

Hi fellow real estate investors,

I purchased my first triplex and will have all repairs and rehab complete in 1 of the 3 units tomorrow. The other will follow in the subsequent week.

Question is should i get someone in before the year ends or just find a renter and have their lease start Jan. 1?
