The next meetup has been scheduled for Tuesday, January 22nd from 7-9pm. The location is Tuscany Grill located at 11105 South Eastern Avenue, Henderson, NV 89052. Food will be provided, but guests will have to pay for their own drinks. At some point I'll setup a meetup.com group to manage this, but for now please RSVP via this BP forum thread.
We had a nice turn out last time, and some of us stayed well past 9pm. I hope to see some familiar faces there and some new ones too. Happy New Year!

I agree with Rob. This city will take decades to rebuild or longer. They've lost over half of their population. It's likely the population will continue to migrate out of the city for quite some time. It's not exactly a safe place with city services being cut in many parts. Still I wish them the best of luck.

I've thought about starting neighborhood specific websites that offer free or cheap postings for property owners looking to sell or rent their properties. The setup costs would be minimal. I'm not sure if it would compete with CL or other posting sites, but the risk is minimal.

Brian P
Would you go into more detail on the Master Lease method you mentioned? I've ran into a few people that have mentioned this, but have never talked to anyone that's actually done it.

Tiger M. Did you see Lennar just bought up those super small sites in the northwest for about $31k per site?

I agree with Mike to some extent for the Vegas market as well. The super deals are gone. That doesn't mean there is no opportunity, it's just not like it was a couple of years ago.

HI Josh,

Welcome to BP! I think your plan is workable. Since you like coming out here anyway, I'd highly recommend taking a trip to view some neighborhoods and property types.
