Thanks for the info.
Do you know of any condo communities that allow short term rentals in Palm Springs?

Is there one particular neighborhood in the desert area that does better than another? I’ve heard other users post that it’s better to stick with Palm Springs because you’ll see more year round bookings? What are people’s thoughts on this? Properties outside PS are cheaper to buy...

Thanks for your response.
Does anyone have any thought about properties in Yucca Valley / Joshua Tree? I’ve heard they are gaining popularity as a vacation rental destination....

Would yucca valley be considered a good place to buy an investment vacation rental for air bnb? Single family mid century style with pool?

Would a property in Rancho Mirage / cathedral City work as a vacation rental? They seem like they are slightly better value? I feel like my budget would be a 2 bed pool
Home in north Palm Springs or a 3 bed pool
Home in cathedral. Which would be better as an investment?

Hi all - I’m also thinking of investing in a vacation rental in the Palm Springs area.
I have a question - is “bigger always better”? For example, would it be better to have a 4 bed pool home in Indio over a 2 bed pool home in (north) Palm Springs? I only really know PS so potentially buying in an unfamiliar area does make me nervous but if properties have a proven track record in Indio / cathedral city / ranch mirage areas I would seriously consider it... I really wanted to have a mid century pool home and my budget only stretches to it outside Palm Springs itself...
Out of interest, what are the rental / permit requirements in Indio / cathedral City?
