@Devin Mann @Jake Thomas

Jake gave you great information on how to get started as a new agent. Sounds like he's doing very well using the techniques he suggested for you.

Another question would be . . . have you contact family and friends to let them know that you are now a real estate agent? If they're not in the market, they may know someone who is. It doesn't hurt to get your name out there.

Good luck.

@James Swift Welcome to BP, there are plenty of resources on this site, which should answer a lot of questions for you. I would also suggest that you looking the local real estate investor groups, of which there are two main ones. Both Northwest REIA and Rarebird hold monthly meetings and are attended by new and seasoned investors and are great groups for networking.

Good luck.

@Nick McMillen Welcome to BP, plenty of resources on this site to give you more information as to the type of investing that is of interest to you. Since you are in Salem, you may want to look into joining Northwest REIA, they hold monthly meetings in Portland and they also have some people in the Salem area, though I don't remember if they hold any meetings down there.

Good luck.

@Laureen Youngblood

Just a few blocks away from Goodness Coffee is one of my favorites, Ava Roasteria, which is located at 4655 SW Hall Blvd. Let me know if this works for you. It's open 24 hours, so no surprises.

@Stacey Moskwa, I agree with @Alissa Collins and @Jay Hinrichs about Rarebird, and there is Northwest REIA, which is also a paid membership, and attended by knowledgeable investors.

@Laureen Youngblood, Thanks for your offer. I looked up Goodness Coffee House and it looks like their hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Are you scheduling an after hours meetup?

I also want to thank you as I found a vegetarian/vegan place (La Vida Veggie) right next door that I'm definitely going to have to try. :-)
