Thanks all for helping me with pricing. Now it's whether I want to cave-in and allow the cat.

@Josh July

Not a cat person myself but the litter box I assume is something the cat will "always" use.

I want to have clear understanding of what I am getting into if I allow this. As long as the cat has a litter box I can't foresee why there would be any urine - and I've read the stories of people trying to remove that ordor or stain.

@Kim Meredith Hampton

What made you choose to not charge monthly?

What does the pet application give you - what do you ask?

@Mark Radford LOL thanks for the laughter. As I was reading and saw $10 per fish, immediately thought "really", "wow" ok if that's a standard.

Thank you for this base line. I had nothing to go on and appears that size matters as they go up in scale. For a cat I'm now thinking $35 per month.

Hi all,

I'm "considering" renting to someone who has a cat. This going against my strict policy of no pets to forego the rental sitting on the market longer than normal.

My PM says that I can charge a SD for the cat and a monthly rental OR a fee that is one time. IF I do this I'm leaning toward the SD and the monthly rent.

They (PM) couldn't give me a range since they don't rent to pet owners as they also have a strict policy for their properties as do their clients - go figure. Having had bad experiences it's just not worth it - but again I'm now faced with the rental sitting unoccupied.

Back to the $.

I didn't see anything in the FLa Statute about pets - quick read so I may have to go back. For a tenant it's one month rent or two as I have see other owners charge for a tenant SD.

Throwing out some numbers: $250 SD $35 rent?

Since SD is for damages, $250 may not be enough depending on what the cat did to the walls or floors (all laminate throughout).

What is considered a reasonable SD and monthly for a cat?

Thank you

Daria

My local CPA sent me a letter this summer saying that his firm had been breached.  As a precaution, he offered me (and likely all his customers) 1-year pre-paid Equifax Gold Identity Protection.  I signed up and it's been all quiet so far.  With this morning's news, I checked on the website above and, sure enough:

"Based on the information provided, we believe that your personal information may have been impacted by this incident."

At least those responsible will step up and do what's right, right?

Equifax execs sold stock before hack was disclosed

 Is that considered somewhat insider trading?

So you do all the work and because of this additional language, if added, you get no commission? If that's true I would be concerned.

They "requested", meaning you don't have to add this - true?
