Hi all,
I am the principal for these fresh properties and personally sign off on all sales.
We have a business plan for each property, have set aside budgets for repairs, and expect a 3-8 month timeline for turnaround. We are interested in selling what we can to other investors so we can make a quick (smaller) profit.

@Wayne Brooks , The property in fact does have 2 parcels. But, for some reason the county is sending out a single tax bill. We need to send a survey with separating the property out for the county records. Of course, during the sale, we need to submit the appropriate survey results to be recorded to update the title.

Would I need to get a new deed written up?

I cannot view on a map what the deed covers. I have the parcel number and am waiting for the surveyor to provide a preliminary report/sketch and see if our agent is on the right track.
We haven't sold anything yet because the sale is awaiting our results and subsequent changes.
We own 2 parcels, but have 1 parcel ID # on the special warranty deed we received. And it includes only 1 address.

Has this happened to anyone else?
We bought a Freddie Mac foreclosure recently for under $50,000. We assumed we were buying 1 house on 1 lot. I didn't pay special attention to the warranty deed at the time of the purchase. We are now selling the property for $75,000. Our agent double checked our special warranty deed, and noticed that in fact we purchased two parcels. Our agent took pictures of the second house, it needs little work, and should be worth over $100,000.
Our sales agreement is contingent on a survey, so we are about to send the surveyor out there to properly divide the property into two addresses, and we will sell the first one to the buyer, and proceed with repairs and sale on the second.
Buy 1 get 1 free. Never heard of it, thank you Freddie.
What should I be aware of, and what should I make sure to do in this situation?

I tried emailing the site staff but did not get any responses.
I was charged about $230 but not sure for what... And for some reason I don't have my pro account any more. I thought I was grandfathered in the $5 /month pro account.
Please email me or we can discuss it here or in pm.

It's the first time this has happened to me. My uncle doesn't even usually use "Ben" (his Americanized name) all the time.
What confuses me is, how did they give me access to the account after I confirmed my identity using my birthdate.
This was just the last straw. They have had very inconsistent online service, causing me to spend hours on the phone every few months with customer support.

TL;DR: State Farm just gave me full access to my uncle's State Farm account without his permission or knowledge. We have no assets in common, except we share names, partially (he is Ben, I go by Benjamin). I can see/edit 8 of his various policies that I have nothing to do with. They "cannot find my user ID" and I now have to wait for a ticket to be resolved in order to access my own account information.
I have been using State Farm for a couple of years on several homes that we have insured in Georgia. I also have a credit card with them. They have continuously had a very poor online experience, ridden with errors on their part. I have stayed with them because I was too lazy to change numerous policies.
They 'lost' my username/password, and upon calling customer support, they logged me into my uncle's account.
Here is what happened today:
- I just tried to login to pay a credit card payment, my password did not work. I tried this twice, because on the third time it blocks more attempts.
- I clicked "retrieve password", but the system did not recognize my user id & birthdate combination.
- I clicked "retrieve username" and received my username by email
- The username was in fact the username that I attempted to login with.
- I called customer support to repair access. They asked for my birthdate for verification, along with 3 security questions. That worked. They said they couldn't find my username (WHAT? You just emailed it to me). They asked if I wanted to use another username that they suggested, so I said OK. They gave me a temporary password.
- I log into my account, the system asked me to change my password, done.
- I am logged in, I don't see my property, nor my credit card. But I do see 8 other policies. They logged me into my uncles account, allowed me to change his password, and now I can tweak his account online however I wish, now I can:
- Add a driver
- Report a claim
- Change principal driver
- Change garage address
- Change coverage
- Change vehicle usage
- Change personal info
- Add additional interest
- Change coverage
- Report a claim
After I informed them of this data breach, they have hidden my uncle's policies. I still see his Agent's information, and his email address. I am now trying to pay my credit card, and they are asking me to enter my CC# and 3 digit security code in order to display my CC bill and pay it.
I am not going to enter any more information online with State Farm and will be leaving their services entirely once I find alternative home insurance products.
I don't know what other companies are better, but I find it hard to believe than anyone could be worse than State Farm at protecting your privacy and providing an easy online experience.
