Hey, Theresa you definitely will need your own money if you are gonna go in alone. I would suggest either finding an experienced investor and try to partner with or shadow them on a deal. Also, you could just work and save as much as you can while you do your research and educate yourself on RE.

Just Finished Investing with no and low money down, Set for Life, and The ultimate beginners guide to getting started would recommend every one of them! Great job starting out so early, I'm sure you will crush it if you keep it up!!!

I like the idea behind being frugal while your peers are buying luxuries however I think this example is a little disrespectful of the restaurant.
