Hi Ryan,
That's a valid question. Our forum platform was built on coding that is no longer fully supported and lacks the ability to include great features that will make the website better to use. By updating the code, some layout and features must change, but we are also able to improve aspects that we hope will create a better experience for users going forward. We are always open to suggestions to consider in future iterations as well!

Personally, I like the cities that not everyone on BP is flocking to... Find local cities that have solid fundamentals (i.e. job diversity, population growth, etc.)
Out of state investing adds another layer of complexity.

@Sunny D. You're not the only one. I sold mine off in the NE Ohio area. Made a really nice profit, but I assume it was lucky and I was selling to the "greater fool." As much as people love pitching (i.e. James Wise, etc.) NE Ohio as a gold mine, I think few realize how very different the tenant class is there. I am doing MUCH better sticking to an A- area than chasing cashflow in the C neighborhoods. Good learning lesson, but not for me...

@Matt M. It's an interesting concept. Who's your target market? DIY Homeowners or inexperienced handymen/contractors?

After investing in the Akron/Cleveland area, my advice is...don't. Invest in your own backyard.

My cheapest investment was also my worst (although that just means I broke even and learned a bunch). It was my first purchase at ~50k.

@Jill F. I invested in Akron (North Hill) area before selling a few years ago. I remember units would normally sit vacant for 1-2 months before being rented. Where do you think all the qualified renters are coming from?

If you want to remove them from your profile pics, you can do that with a site called delete.ink (which removes them from an image)
Otherwise, I'd agree with most people here in that it doesn't really matter as long as you provide value. Some of the most respectful & intelligent people I know have tattoos. As long as it's not a face tattoo you should be fine.
