If this was recession was any indication, then the markets should be roaring until 2014 and then come crashing down. Be ready to buy again :)

I don't know of any abour RE. But if you ever need motivation look for Jim Rohn. He is one of my favorites.

Why?

Free checking. Free savings. Higher interest on savings AND checking than the BIG boys. Great customer service. Great rates. Excellent online support. USAA even allows you to deposit a check using your scanner or iPhone (NO MAILING REQUIRED), and the executives at both banks haven't been to Capitol Hill begging for a bailout nor handing out multi-million dollar bonuses to failures.

We were also with BofA until late last year when we pulled everything out in disgust with their fees and corporate practices.

I also bank with Navy Fed. I love their service. It is big enough to have many branches yet small enough for good personalized service.

For the wire transfer (just did one on Friday) I simply called them up and was done in less than 10 mins ($14 fee).

I like playing Cashflow. Although, the lessons are too simplistic for investors. The game had to simplify real life investing, or it would talk people out of investing in RE

Mitch, the game is not for people like you and I. It is meant for people like my cousin who has 10s of thousands of dollar in credit card debt (~70k) and just bought a beamer. It shows people in a fun entertaining way that you can be financially successful if you live wihtin your means.

Richard,

Not to be off topic but I know you are primarily a flipper. Have you had to reconsider your strategy? Would you recommend flipping in this economy?

There is only one way to stop the DOSC and the banks are stopped by Federal Law. This is also the only way to keep all parties private, protect the title from liens, suits, and judgments. I know how and would be more than willing to share. Email me and well talk about my exit strategy.

Travis

Ry, If you have something to share, please share it on the forum.

Anthony,

You could create a land trust and have the property deeded to the trust. It doesn't matter where the payment is coming from to the bank, as long as the payments are being made.

If you wanted to, you could also disclose it to the bank ahead of time. If the bank resists than don't do the deal. Many banks (especially locally) are ok with it because they don't want another REO in their portfolio.

Couldn't believe the anti-investor bias in this article. Enjoy.

JO, she could be extremely sincere in wanting to work with you yet have a hectic schedule that does not permit her to. If it seems that way, than give her some space and try back in a few weeks/months.

Wow, what is sad is that police knew about it but couldn't do anything. How weird.
