Hi Daniel, do you need a cousin? Lol jk. I’d love to know how you structured the deal, proposed it to your family member, and simply went about the process of completing it? I’m very interested in partnering up with other newbies in real estate for something similar to this.

hi Carl, I would love to connect and ask more questions about this deal specifically due to you mentioning not really making much profit. I’d love to know more about the risks mitigations, sourcing, and analyzing of this deal.

Quote from @Jennifer Brown:
Your points are well taken. I would normally research and speak with at least three contractors before making a hiring decision. In this case, we had a renovation loan that required us to identify a general contractor and plan the entire renovation before closing, so we had to move fast or lose the deal. We were having trouble getting anyone to get back to us, so we used some sort of matchmaking service that was recommended to us by our lender, which is how we got referred to Bildwise. In the end we did not feel like we had a lot of choice because we really did not want to lose the contract to buy the house.
I’m sorry this happened to you. I just found this thread very helpful in not choosing them to contact for my future project. I had been referred to them by BP but yea, nvm.

Hi Justin, did you do the work yourself or contract out? It looks great btw :)
Everything is done with contractors. This wouldn’t be my expertise!😬
That’s neat! Would you mind recommending your contractors to me?

Hi Alex, can I ask how does one go about creating a relationship with a private money lender who isn’t of relationship to them? I’ve read that most people who use PML always mention the lender being a friend or family member. I would just like to know if there approach is similar when establishing business relationships?
