Hi Columbus investors! Would anyone be kind enough to recommend a RE broker they really liked?

Hi Kusum, I would definitely give Jon Styer a call.  He is in Columbus, OH and I highly recommend him.  He is the broker/owner.   https://styerrep.com/

Hi Columbus investors. Anyone in the group running their properties as fully furnished mid-term rentals (outside of traveling nurse programs)? I recently received an inquiry about one of my properties from summer interns working for JPMorgan Chase and it got me thinking about what other traveling professionals outside of the healthcare industry are out there that we could market our property to. I’d love to connect with somone whose done this strategy for awhile and see how they run and advertise their mid-term rentals.

Hi Shyd, I run some of my properties as mid-term rentals for travelling professionals outside of the healthcare industry, and I absolutely would love to help and discuss this further with you. As a local investor and agent here in Columbus, let me know if you have any questions or want to connect!

Hi Jimmy, may I ask what areas you are in in Columbus for MTR?  We are newbies and were looking for LTR, but have decided we would like to focus on MTR.  Have heard mixed messages for MTR in Columbus, so would love to hear your thoughts as someone who has MTR in Columbus. Thanks!

Another EA here. The short answer: there's no meaningful difference between CPAs and EAs when they specialize in real estate taxation.

Now, details. CPAs are trained and licensed in accounting, and federal taxes are a small part of that. Some CPAs never touch taxes in their life, and others do tax returns only. EAs are trained and licensed in federal taxation only. So CPAs have a much broader area of expertise, while EAs are taxation specialists.

That said, many CPAs choose to specialize in taxation that makes them even with EAs. Both EAs and CPAs have the same rights when it comes to representing clients before the IRS. EAs are rumored to be less expensive than CPAs on average, but I don't think it's the case in specialized areas like real estate.

 Hi Michael,

I would be interested in getting your recommendations for an EA or CPA who is also an investor in the SF Bay area.  I am in San Mateo County.  Many thanks!

Hi,
I am a pro member and when I use the Rental Property calculator and run the numbers, I am unable to save the results (the Save Changes button is grayed out).

Just had a thought... does the Save Changes button only apply if you "edit' the document and then save those changes?  It looks like it may automatically save each analysis.

Thanks so much!

This looks very interesting. Do you need to be a RE agent to attend?
Thanks,

@ Matt K. - When you say mortgage "officer", do you mean mortgage broker or mortgage lender?
Thanks!
