@Michael Baum you’re right and that’s what I was seeing. I looked into Oregon a while back and decided to stay away from those prices.

Brian head is checking all my criteria at this point so I got in touch with Justin about the cabins he has for sell. I read that Brian Head is trying to increase their appeal and tourism so their regulations are vacation rental friendly and also the mountain stills offers plenty of summer activities.

Really appreciate everyone’s feedback on this thread.

@Justin Morgan I didn’t realize how heavily regulated and saturated some of these areas are - thanks for that insight.

Regarding Brian Head, I was researching it and I see that the snow season is from November to April. Is there any activity during the summer months?

I was one of those people who went to Moab to get away from the city and the trails were simply packed. Also there was no social distancing or masks being worn which was surprising considering the crowds.

@Michael Baum thank you Michael, I did real all those comments and didn’t have my criteria as narrowed down. My budget is flexible up to 800k for the right property (would like to buy) and ideally looking for a multifamily. However, I see those aren’t very common in that area.

I want the STR to be close to the main national parks and still on the fence weather it needs to be rural or closer a city.

Currently looking into Bryan head, St George, and Washington County. Do you have STRs in any of those areas?

@Julia Parslow hi Julia, I’m curious to know how your short term rentals are doing in Utah. If I could give you a call to learn more about the market, that would be fantastic!
