I definitely would try to increase your income in the short term.

@Mark Caudill Wow. Thanks for that rundown. I'm glad you've found success in that niche!

Hey Mason, who did you end up using for a contractor?

I'd recommend giving RE Agent Bryan Rodriquez (from the Lana Rodriquez Group) a call. Hes definitely one of the best in the business.

@Kiet Ho if you pay all cash up front then everything from there is profit! Can’t complain about that.

But others will tell you there’s other places to put your money for bigger returns.

Definitely pros and cons to both.

Bigger Pockets Team,

I jumpstarted my Real Estate career in mid-2010 buying my first Single Family Home with a VA loan. In early 2021 I bought my second Single Family Home with a conventional loan.

Currently, I am looking to buy my third home – hopefully by the end of this year.

I am investing in Colorado Springs, CO because I am stationed at Fort Carson. I plan on getting a little empire going here in town since this is where I plan on retiring.

Right now I am hoping I can crowdsource a list of multiple go-to contractors (plumbers, electricians, roofers, handymen, cleaners) so I can self-manage when I inevitably receive orders to move again....thanks, Army.

@James Carlson I totally agree with your thoughts on Pueblo. I like Colorado Springs for the military presence. As a Soldier I havent heard too many people who want to travel that far for work. Obviously, some do it but the vast majority are looking for something in a 20-30 minute driving range to work. If you look at markets like Fort Bragg in Fayetteville, NC people are hedging their bets in that military market and prices are growing quite quickly.

Alex, I had my home painted by a local painter, he was showing me some pictures of his work and he painted some beautiful cabinets. Have you looked into that yet?
