Hi @Ming Lim, my flips so far have been in the Niagara Region and Hamilton. Waterloo has been of interest to me as well, but you are exiting this market. Would you care to share why you are getting out of that market?
I'd love to hear more about your BRRR projects in Toronto, it sounds like there would be a ton of cash involved. It would be great to hear from you. You can PM me and we can set up a phone call. Looking forward to talking with you...

Yes, they are currently with one of the trustees and my mortgage broker will arrange for an RRSP swap. What a creative way to get access to funds inside an RRSP, she is brilliant. How has your investing gone so far? I see you invest in the US, which markets? Are you doing buy and hold only? Thank you for your reply.

Great thread for Canada / GTA real estate investors. I have been a buy and hold investor and got tired of landlording, so I changed to flipping and lending last year. That said, I am reconsidering a bit since I have some retirement funds that I am thinking of puttinginto a rental, a buy/fix/hold or even lease option property. I am quite interested in investing in the outlying areas in Southern Ontario and have been active in the Niagara Region and Hamilto with flips. I'd definitely be interested in London, Kitchener/Waterloo/Guelph, Windsor as well as the east end. Thanks for sharing your experiences and feel free to connect.

Hello everyone, I have been a buy and hold investor for more than 20 years now and started getting involved in joint venture flips last year. After doing 3 flips in Ontario and a 4th one one the way I am now also involved in several flip joint ventures with active investors in the United States. My role so far has been mostly as a money partner although I am now taking a much more active role and will be handling some active flips as well.
I currently also have some Canadian retirement funds available that I am looking to invest into a flip, or a buy-fix-hold property or possibly even a lease option. I absolutely love joint ventures and believe in creating win-win situations that benefit all parties involved.
Bigger Pockets has some great training materials and I have been watching quite a few of their Youtube videos. Through this forum I look forward to linking up with up with link-minded individuals who want to learn and do deals together, in the United States and Canada.
