Oh... I guess I need to learn how to do that then.

Google voice wouldn't allow me to pick out a 317 number though would it?

If so, where do I go to pick the number?

Verizon told me I can't pick my phone number...

I want to select a (317) number, but I want it to be simple.

I asked if I could pick a local number then transfer it and they said I could, but I should make sure I don't sign a contract.

Where can I find myself a (317) number?

In a perfect world, this is the type of mapping software exists:

1) Ability to plot where bandit signs are

2) Ability to click neighborhoods (highlights the area) and it gives you the avg price for houses sold in that area over the last 3 months with stats

3) Allows you to type in a single or batch of addresses and will plot them

4) Type in an address + save notes to that location (Name, number, saw your sign at, etc)

5) Mailing List option - allows you to remove address from list, document offer at an address, records how many letters have been sent, updates the page automatically for when a house in your list has been put on the market or sold

This are a couple of things I wish I had... Any clue on if this exists in some portion?

Go to any local sheriff's auction and they will be there.

I would suggest you make several packets of the houses you have on contract and ask the big players at the auctions if they would like to take a look at the houses you have under contract.

I'm sure they would be interested.

MARKET STRATEGY #1: Probate
TARGET MARKET: (5) Local Neighborhoods $70k-$130k in Hamilton County
TACTIC: Yellow Letters
INTERCEPTION: Answering Service

MARKET STRATEGY #2: Motivated Sellers
TARGET MARKET: Indianapolis Area
TACTIC: Postlets.com
INTERCEPTION: Answering Service

The answering service requires specific questions to ask the leads and will send their responses directly to my cellphone.

What questions should they ask? In addition to Name, Address, and Phone Number.

(Thanks for your replies!)

1) On the way to work in the morning (Phone)
2) All day at work (Comp/Phone)
3) On my way home from work (Phone)
4) While I work out in the garden (Phone)
5) When I'm putting dinner together (Phone)
6) If I'm not reading while walking then during my cardio (Phone)

Food for thought:
a) It would be great to have access to podcasts through Spotify. It would also help promote your site seeing how most people don't take the time to figure out how to remove auto-post to facebook ha
i) Also through spotify I like putting together my favorite playlists so some podcasts I like more than others and that would allow me to quickly listen to them

b) 'Bonus Podcast Follow UP!' It may be a great way to engage more listeners if you allowed a topic submission capability along with a voting system for a follow up chat with the speakers? (ie 'What follow up topic would you like to know more about?' First time Flip | Votes 173 / Probate Tactics | Votes 117 etc.)

c) This may be time consuming... but indexing the podcast would be helpful. Sometimes I forget where I heard a certain "nugget" so I have to listen to the whole thing over again (which isn't a bad thing) example below
*How James works a full time job while flipping houses @ 1:15 (Click here to listen)
*Overcoming the “Education Only Phase” and buying his first property @ 2:45 (Click here to listen)

d) Podcast Topic/Question submissions and voting. Some people may want to hear more about a certain subject or have questions to ask a pro?

Many Kudos for what you all are doing! The show notes are absolutely fantastic! I've already bought a book or two because of the references.

Knowing what the podcast is going to talk about in show notes is great as well. You two are fun guys in the casts, keep up the great work!

Kevin Raye this post is about a year old now. Are you still in REI and how did your probate buying go?

Another benefit - if you get creative you can have TWO GV numbers ring a single phone. You can assign a name for each caller ID of these numbers in your contacts. You can then see by the caller ID the "Name" of the GV number that's calling you.

So you could have one GV number for marketing to Buyers & one for Sellers or one for Probates & one for Absentee equity, etc.

This way you will have a idea of who's calling and what needs they may have before you even answer the phone.

Nice.
