$450k? Awesome job getting to that point. I'm just curious, what did you do to obtain that? I'm trying to get to that level!

I need someone for plaster repair and a bathroom renovation. I'd appreciate any recommendations. Thanks in advance!

$200k extra a year? What do you do? I noticed you're a health care professional, but what specifically? Just curious.

Livonia or Plymouth work for me, but like Micheal said, I'd prefer downtown Detroit or Midtown.

Exactly. If you look, I was responding to a previous comment where someone said that. I completely understand why someone would want a mentor/coach. I am actually looking for a mentor because I think it would help mitigate the risks.

The only ones that need coaches aren't self starters and need someone to kick them in the behind to get started? Or it could possibly be because they don't have a huge amount of money and fear making detrimental mistakes. Maybe those people know what it's like to be piss poor and would rather have mentor to mitigate the risks. Just a thought.

I've heard some of the biggest gurus say that you shouldn't buy a house but I completely disagree. For the life of me, I can't understand that. When you rent, you are literally throwing money down the drain because you will never own that house. When you buy, you can pass that down to your kids, grandkids, and so on, which can make life easier. You can also sell a house that you've bought, giving you something in return. Why do you think people buy houses to rent? It makes them money. Well, if they do it right, it can make them money. If someone else can convince me that renting is better than owning, please give it a shot because I would love to understand that way of thinking.

@Jacob Turner

Wow! This is a friend? Doesn't sound like it to me. A friend would want to help you. He should help guide you through out of the kindness of his heart because he values your friendship. If you made a decent profit, you should then give him some of it to thank him for his guidance. That's what friends do. It's sad that most people are that greedy. If he taught you well, you two could then do work together where you both could benefit. A win-win relationship and that is how you truly grow. Hope you figure things out without his help and become far more successful than he is. Good luck to you!

I pretty much just wanted to say it's always mind boggling to see how ignorant some "intelligent" and "successful" people are. I'll continue to pray.
