As long as your truck is running well and fitting your needs, just keep driving it. There is always a cost in changing vehicles. Sales tax and registration fees. Gas is cheap and unless you drive 50k miles a year the savings isnt really that significant. i drive three different vehicles. A 2000 Chevy Cavalier. A 2012 F250 and a 2015 Mustang GT. The Cavalier is the poor landlord car. The truck is the contractor truck. The GT is the car to remind me of why i do this crap. Cars can be expensive but for many men it is just a tiny fraction of the money they will spend on women!

That subfloor is perfect as is. Just vacuum it up and start laying flooring.

He is not going to sue you. Sounds to me like he is broke with the bouncing checks and late payments. A lawyer will want money to file a lawsuit. He doesn't have it.

File a complaint with the contractor licensing board.

This is a horrible deal. Might be worth half the asking price.

Bottom line is now realtors dont concentrate on sellers. The focus is now to round up the entire pool of buyers and get them contractually obligated and tell them they will be represented for free because the seller pays the commission
