A lady in Detroit just traded a house for a minivan, got national publicity on Yahoo.

Have you thought about posting them on CL for trade/barter? You might be able to trade one property for someone to rehab the other. Also could get you some additional publicity, just getting creative here.

Hey Jerry, sorry I don't know the IE as well but head over to a few of the local REI events there are tons still even this month.

Maybe reach out to Jake on here I think you know him, he is very active in IE and could probably point you in the right direction.

Cheers,

Wholesale it to another investor, perhaps request that you are allowed to follow the rehab process so you can learn more about the area you feel uncomfortable in.

Hey Casey,

Welcome aboard! My fist piece of advice is hit up all the awesome real estate investment clubs you have access to out here. They are such a valuable resource. Between this forum and those you are so well equipped to make smart moves.

Just a couple you should take a peek at.

www.investclubforwomen.com
www.nsdrei.org
www.sdcia.com
http://www.meetup.com/ORANGE-COUNTY-FIBI/ <-- Has a meeting TONIGHT I'll be there.

I'm forgetting a few I'm right about to leave for a meeting but others can add those. There are so many great resources locally to us and on here.

Cheers,

For others who might be a little younger and healthier a HSA would be worth researching. I am checking this out myself and it looks pretty damn cool. There are investment opportunities with it too.

Sherry, I don't have much to offer other than some words of encouragement but I am 100% confident you are going to make it happen.

You have the guts to get out there and try, you are learning very quickly and you also aren't scared to post and share what is going on. All of these I consider huge qualities that will be very valuable in your real estate career. Too few people don't reach out for advice or assistance when they need it, it takes guts to ask.

There looks to be some great ideas here and hopefully more to come.

You need brass balls to hold that stock for a while but the payoff would be good.

Its a different league but almost like Ford @ under a dollar a share, no one was going to let all three automakers fail.

I always enjoy reading your posts Jake, I feel like the forum gets the opinions from not only an investor but an agent who knows his stuff.
