Both of your replies are awesome! What is the experience of running an Airbnb in a market you do not live in? Is the process hard to set up (finding a cleaner/maintenance) if you run them yourself, or do you hire out the management? I do like the idea of finding a popular area, but of course you are going to spend some good change for that type of location.

I am currently invested in a good number of long term rentals in Lubbock, TX, and have looked into the short term rental game. What are the benefits (if any) to short term vs long term? It seems the monthly amount you can make is more if you have the right location, however is the juice worth the squeeze in terms of Extra work?

Yes there is a demand for short term rentals, and Airbnb type property especially with oil coming back some. I also manage and host AIRBNB properties for clients. We run a full scale management company that offers some of the best terms, and we also have a construction and remodeling wing to our business. We offer a few things no one else has In town.
