WOW! You told him to contact the VA over happily replacing his toilet, and saying thank you for your service? My advice, buy him a good toilet that's comfort height, and make a tiny part of his life more bearable. Comfort height toilets are preferred by most people disabled or not, so it won't hurt any tenant prospects in the future. You can never go wrong doing the right thing!

@Maari Christante Thanks for the post! We definitely need more members wanting to get in on it. I think rather than focusing only on BP investors I'm going to start a new Meetup in Redding that will include more investors, etc. I will still be posting them on BP as I'm sure any new investors coming to meetups will want to get on BP too. Set your keyword alerts to Redding Meetup, Redding Shasta County Meetup, Karen Margrave :)  I will do one next month. This month I had a new grandson born, and going down to so cal for a graduation at Fullerton.

I hope @Wesley Carroll @Mike Fish @Justin H. and all the other Redding area investors will let me know what they'd like at Meetups. Guest speakers? On ? Financing types?, property types? Partnerships? If I know more what the needs of investors are, challenges, etc. it makes it easier to set up so that it helps people in their journey.

Personally I have a very exciting niche I may be getting into, and hopefully will know more soon!

We actually have 3D printed structures starting here in Redding, CA. The first will be for housing the host of a local park. There's another entity (Access Home) that will be doing affordable home options; and I just met with them yesterday to get more information, as I'm very interested in concepts that will help bring more affordable housing to our high demand area.

Though in its infancy, I think it's the wave of the future, along with the flat packed homes built in factories and shipped, such as Boxabl. I think the biggest hindrance is the ability for companies to ramp up production fast enough to produce high enough quantities.

@Ranjit Sandhu I am a Realtor and Licensed General Contractor in Redding, CA. Your post asks bout 95001, but Redding is 96001, 96002, 96003. I have built spec new construction here of all different types. Though I do not have any STR, I am very interested in the niche, and had BP start the forum for it a few years ago.

If you have any questions on the area, or real estate, please post them and I'll be happy to answer. You can click on to my website and search for homes so that you can get an idea of what our local market is.

Redding and Shasta County both allow STR. We have a beautiful area with lakes, rivers, caverns, waterfalls, and 2 active volcanoes nearby. It's a recreation paradise.

We had one new person, and 2 of the usual suspects at the Redding Shasta County Meetup last night.  Unfortunately we don't have enough BP members come consistently to support a meetup of just BP members, therefore; we discussed the idea of possibly opening it up to a larger audience.

Please let me know your thoughts on doing that, and also, what is it you're looking for in a meetup. Are you looking for deals, partners, funding, networking with like minded people, contractors, ideas, tax professionals, other members sharing updates, photos etc. on their projects, guest speakers, etc.

Your responses would be appreciated.

@John Fakish is it on sewer or septic? How do you know it's to code? If a fire starts because of improper wiring and burns the whole house your insurance won't pay. What do you have as far as access in and out of the basement? Is it at ground level or below grade?

@Howie W. Who allowed access for installation? Did you know it was installed? Did you think it was free? Pay for it and get a property manager that knows how to handle maintenance. If you don't pay the contractor can sue you and lien the property.
